Dr. Capurro believes that the face and neck cannot truly be rejuvenated by means of the ample dissection that is typical of traditional aesthetic surgery, as this causes damage to the vascularization and innervation of the tissues. The Jano needle and the elastic thread make the dissection and traction of SMAS obsolete. Designed by Dr. Capurro, the elastic thread mounted on a two-tipped needle can lift and compact the buttocks without skin dissection, through an 8 mm incision. The breasts can be lifted through two incisions of a few mm (elastic mastopexy). Breasts that have silicone implants can be made to look more natural by means of an 8 mm peri-areolar incision. The elastic thread conizes the breasts and repositions the implant in contact with the chest wall, eliminating the appearance of a "ball in a sock". Through another small incision, breasts with silicone implants can be lifted.

A suspension of living adipose and stromal cells enables volume enhancement to be achieved, superficially or in depth, in the face and body (breasts, buttocks, stretch marks, etc.). Adipofilling is a precious complement to elastic lifting of the face or breast. Its powerful regenerative action finds application in the treatment of the skin, mucosa, joints and ulcers, etc.

The Capurro Philosophy
Current techniques of nano- and micro-fat grafting cause friction, which destroys a large portion of the adipocytes. Dr Capurro believes that significant volume enhancement and a powerful regenerative action can only be achieved by coupling living adipose cells with living stromal cells, in a procedure that avoids the complications of lipofilling. Dr Capurro's research has led to the development of an economical disposable device which can, in a few seconds, transform small or large amounts of lobular fat aspirated through a 3 or 4 mm cannula into a suspension of adipose and stromal cells that can be injected with a simple syringe. Transforming the lipoaspirate into a cell suspension facilitates the survival of the adipocytes in the receiving tissues. Moreover, the suspension can be injected into delicate or very superficial areas, even into the dermis. Adipofilling exploits the volumetric and regenerative properties of the adipose tissue to the full, in addition to being an extraordinary complement to elastic lifting of the face, neck, breasts and buttocks.

Dr. Capurro uses high-frequency currents because they travel over the surface of the tissues – unlike light, which travels in straight lines. This means that high-power currents can be delivered for fractions of one-hundredth of a second without damaging the underlying tissues. Moreover, the current exploits the electrical conductivity of the tissues, which is practically invariable from one individual to another. Timedsurgery utilizes a set of color-coded, standardized active electrodes; these, together with the specific currents, provide control over all the parameters that condition the effect of a diathermal current.

PHLEBOTHERAPY (TRAP)

A new concept of the physiopathology of the venous circulation in the lower limbs clearly demonstrates that varicose veins must not be removed, obliterated, ligated or burnt; they must simply be regenerated (regeneration = restoration of the form and function). To treat varicose disease – the most common disease on earth – the venous wall must be treated. This treatment must not be limited to a single localized area. Indeed, a rational treatment of varicose disease must strengthen the wall and narrow the lumen of all the dilated and dilatable veins of the superficial and perforating circulation. Mechanistic treatments are unsuited to biological material.

It was not difficult to revolutionize the irrational techniques of phlebology. Developing TRAP was more difficult.
